Refurbished set of 1800s’ stem casters in rare, double wheel design! Hardwood wheels to be kind to your flooring. Stem design is ideal for secure mounting to thin furniture legs. Swiveling and self-leveling- wheel assembly tilts from side to side, keeping wheels in contact with uneven surfaces. Includes stem swivel sockets.

1" diameter wheels in 1 1/2" wide forks

Antique Furniture Casters

Refurbished set of four cast iron casters with hardwood wheels to be kind to your flooring…the GEM model by M. B. Schenck & Company of Meriden, Connecticut with patent date of May 27, 1879. New mounting screws included.

2 1/8” overall height
1 3/8” diameter, 1” wide wheels
2” x 2 5/8" mounting plates

Interestingly, Mr. Schenck was a supporter of presidential candidate Lincoln. He served for the duration of the Civil War, and voted for Lincoln a second time by sending his ballot home from the war. He started his caster company shortly after returning home. Thank you for your service, Mr. Schenck!
