Vintage Industrial Gears

Created a couple more one-of-a-kind antique industrial gear displays for your consideration.

Came across 2 very unique industrial bevel gears with remnants of original red paint which definitely merited proper display, so paired each of them with a complementary gear and made custom reclaimed wood display stands.

Check them out, as well as a few other of my industrial gear displays on my website.

Antique Industrial Iron Gears

Excited to have discovered a matched pair of large cast iron industrial gears. From the late 1800s by David Bradley Co.

I love the chunky teeth, raised 1800's text and numerals, and especially the bright red paint!

The one on the right in the photo is still in its "Before" state with its thick crusty rusty finish. I scoured the other with power wire brushes to remove the rust and reveal its original red paint. Seeing its condition clearly now, I realize these are unused new old stock- there's no use wear to the gears and its hub's bolt holes show no signs of ever being bolted onto the machine. How rare is this?!!!!

These are sure to make a dramatic Industrial Chic statement when used as wall decor or tabletops. Check them out on my website, as well as all my other antique and vintage industrial decor items.

For your consideration, have made up a couple more of my one-of-a-kind industrial chic wheel displays.

These use cast iron pulley wheels from the late 1800s in super ornate spoke designs....what I call an oak leaf design, complete with tiny acorn finials!

I scour the wheels with power wire brushes to remove a century of rust, leaving a luscious aged patina. From reclaimed lumber, I then handcraft wooden displays which they sit in, allowing easy removal for close-up admiration.

Have now made up several more of my one-of-a-kind tabletop industrial gear displays. These use very ornate cast iron gears from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

They have been scoured with power wire brushes to remove thick rust, then hand washed. I then make the custom wooden displays from reclaimed lumber. The industrial gears sit in grooves in the stands, so you can easily lift them out for closer admiration.
