VINTAGE MODERN INDUSTRIAL CASTERS WITH BRAKES
Set of four extra large, extra heavy duty swivel casters with brakes by Aerol- initially a division of Lockheed which specialized in high-quality wheels and casters for aerospace and military applications. Cast of extra thick aluminum for light weight and corrosion resistance. Shock absorbers. Rubber tread on wheels to be kind to flooring.
• 9 1/4 inch overall height
• 6 inch diameter, 00 inch wide wheels
• 5 1/4 × 6 1/4 inch mounting plates
• 12 lbs each
• 1600(?) lbs load rating each. (Was unable to find specs on this exact model number, but a current Aerol model that starts with this series number and has the same specs is rated for 1600 lbs.)
Great operational and structural condition, looking as though they saw very little use. Uncleaned, with as-found light dirt and grime.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to their engineering to carry extremely heavy loads, they swivel only under great force (500 lbs each?), so they will not swivel on typical home furniture, so probably best for an extremely heavy cabinet, industrial kitchen island, etc., or for cosmetic use on a non-moving piece.
