Antique Wood Furniture Casters

Set of 4 antique swivel casters- Model No. 186 by Payson Manufacturing Company of Chicago, dated 1881. Exceptionally rare, large size. Cast iron with hardwood wheels to be kind to your flooring. Small circular mounting plate and thick stem make these ideal for secure mounting to slim table legs; includes new wood mounting screws.

• Will raise your piece 2 5/8 inches.
• 2 1/4 inch diameter mounting plates with 1 1/2 inch long, 1/2 inch diameter stems

Very good operational condition. Cleaned- soaked in degreaser, then scrubbed with abrasive pad and wire brush to remove the heaviest of dirt and grime, leaving an aged patina; may require further cleaning at your discretion. Wheels do show a couple shrinkage cracks and paint, but otherwise in very good condition. Wood conditioner applied to wheels. Moving parts lubricated.

These are a rare, large wooden wheel model. Wood is obviously more fragile than their cast iron counterpart, so few made it through the past 150 years. If this model will fit your piece, and you need wooden wheels to not damage flooring, grab these quickly. I come across such a model only once every several years.
